“I Know” is already my jam. And is anyone else reminded of Rival Joustas during “Our Loving Mother in a Pink Diamond”?
No Hope No Future is out on January 25th in the UK and Europe, however us peeps in the States will have to settle for a digital only release. Bummer. Though if you’ve got the cash to buy the import, DO IT. Good Shoes are offering all sorts of fun bundles over on their official webstore. Pre-order now!!
The band will be touring like crazy starting next week, so go catch them live if you have the chance: http://www.goodshoes.co.uk/tour/
There’s also that supposed stint they’ll be doing at SXSW this year. Dagger in my heart, I tell ya.
Day 12 Day 13 Day 12 Day 13 Day 12 Day 13 Day 12
Exams are officially over and I can now post on a more regular basis. Hopefully.
December 12th: Good Shoes – The Way My Heart Beats
The boys are baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Yep, Good Shoes returning with new material was definitely one of the highlights of my year. To make things even better, they gave away “The Way My Heart Beats” for free. 2010 will see the release of their second album No Hope No Future and the boys are scheduled to make a trip stateside for SXSW. I swear, just when I think I couldn’t possibly hate SXSW more than I already do…
Anyway, listen to this song, anticipate the album(!!!!), and watch their latest tour video:
December 13th: Florence and the Machine – Dog Days Are Over
Florence Welch and her incredible voice have been stirring up buzz for quite a while, but this last year the world finally stood up and took notice of Welch and her machine. Her debut album Lungs was released to critical acclaim and she’s slowly but ever so surely going to take America (or at least a huge chunk of it) by storm. Just wait. “Dog Days are Over” is one of my favorite songs that made the album, listen and love.
new video + single from Good Shoes
So, Good Shoes have sort of finished their new album No Hope, No Future though there’s no release date just yet.
They’ve made a video for the first single “Under Control,” out January 11th, which you can watch below if you haven’t seen it already! Lady bodybuilders galore:
I absolutely love the direction these boys are going in. If I was excited when Think Before You Speak was released though I had already heard every song on that record in some sort of live/demo form, to say “I’m excited” for this new record would totally be a ridiculous understatement.
Bring on the new year, baby.
