Recently Pitchfork caught up with Cut Copy and asked them the usual questions about their new album. You can check that interview out here.
Some highlights:
- No title for new album yet, produced by Ben Allen
- Plan to debut new songs this summer
- New songs sound more “groove-based and less rock thanĀ In Ghost Colours“
- Dan says a choir and strings are possibility
- Turned down opening for Lady Gaga, Dan says: “It was one of those weird moments where you’re not sure whether to burn the letter or frame it and put it on your wall. We were simultaneously repulsed but also tantalized by the idea of touring with her for a whole year.”
The interview also included a short video of the band recording their album in an Australian warehouse. Watch and be amazeddddd:
GOOD NEWS: For all those folks who couldn’t shell out the bug bucks to see them at Lollapalooza, Cut Copy will be playing an exclusive after show at the Metro on August 6th!!
BAD NEWS: The show is already sold out. You had to act quick! For those who wasted no time, I’ll see you on the dance floor!
