Pitchfork Music Festival 2010

Alright peeps, it’s about that time again where all the big (and small) summer festivals begin selling passes and slowly revealing the musical acts that will grace their stages in the sweltering summer heat.
Today, Pitchfork officially announced the dates for their fifth annual festival: July 16-18. Where? Union Park, of course. So get your favorite neon colored deep v and stop bathing now! How much? 1-Day pass = $40, 3-Day pass = $90
Passes go on sale this Friday, same day the first batch of acts are announced. Coincidence? I think not. Prices have gone up since the last time I attended ($30 to stand by the stage all day sweating my non-existent balls off and being forced to listen to Bon Iver’s whiny, pathetic voice just to see Cut Copy WHO ALMOST DIDN’T PLAY was worth every penny/second), but they’re still not raping you the way Lollapalooza or SXSW does.

P.s. Rumors of Pavement are in the air….
