Peggy Sue @ the Whistler, Chicago + download

Brighton’s Peggy Sue strolled through town this Halloween playing the last show of their first proper US tour (with BFF’s Sky Larkin) at The Whistler. If you weren’t lucky enough to be in the costumed crowd, you missed one hell of a show. Armed with powerful voices and a collection of “fun instruments” (as my friend Emily curiously put it), Peggy Sue ran through classics like “Lazarus” and “All in My Grill” (yep, that Missy Elliott cover) but also showcased new material from their upcoming debut album which is sure to be incredible!

Rosa Rex, Katy Klaw, Olly Olly Olly, and the folks of Sky Larkin all got into the Halloween spirit and dressed as the “zombie cast of ER” in honor of Chicago, where the famed fictional medical drama was set. It was all kinds of awesome.

And because I’m in a Peggy-Sue-Love-Sharing mood, here are some songs from a recent Morning Becomes Eclectic session at KCRW:

DOWNLOAD Milk & Blood (Live on Morning Becomes Eclectic)
DOWNLOAD Once We Were Strangers (Live on Morning Becomes Eclectic)
DOWNLOAD February Snow (Live on Morning Becomes Eclectic)
