Noah and the Whale will be returning to the States in April!

Last year, the band was forced to cancel their December US tour in order to record their second album, but promised to return in the spring.  Noah and the Whale are one to keep a promise. The shows will take place after the bands’ appearance at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival on April 17th.

April 18 - The Independent - San Franciso, CA
April 20 - Doug Fir Lounge – Portland, OR
April 21 – Chop Suey – Seattle, WA
April 24 – 7th Street Entry - Minneapolis, MN
April 25 – Empty Bottle – Chicago, IL
April 26 – The Magic Bag - Ferndale, MI

I will be at the Empty Bottle show on the 25th (say hello if you’re around!). It’s a rare opportunity to see these boys live in our neck of the woods, so do yourself a favor and catch them if they’re coming to a town near you.  After generously adding a last-minute all-ages show at the AV-Aerie in Chicago last year, I was able to enjoy the live experience that is Noah and the Whale. Yeah, it’s an experience. If you’re not sure whether to travel from afar, just do it. I promise you won’t regret it. You can check out a clip of “Mary” from their instore performance at Reckless Records (1532 N Wilwaukee Ave) right here.

For you UK fans, don’t forget their Club Silencio tour begins in March and there’s still time to enter their film competition!

sadly, empty bottle is a strict 21+ only venue. their website doesn’t say it because it’s pretty much assumed, but they always make sure to post it on ticketweb.
